Oven-Safe Skillet | 28cm Deep

Coming from owning and caring for the rice cooker which I own and love as well, I had been on the fence about purchasing this pan for a little over a year. The recent holiday sale helped sway me.

Initially, I thought I would use it for any specialty cooking being that you need to be more thoughtful in how you cook and clean it but it instantly became my absolute favorite pan and now the only one I use when single pan cooking.

It does everything it says it can. The flavor and texture of food is consistently better than any pan I use for home cooking. At first I wasn’t all that thrilled with how to care for it but I love this pan so much that it’s well worth the proper steps in cleaning and caring for it. They say you can throw it in the dishwasher but it’s not something I’ll likely do.

Pretty much sold on this cookware brand and will be adding pieces in the near future.

I purchased the Vermicular Oven-Safe Skillet (26cm) and it has been a perfect size for our two-person household. I’m truly very satisfied with it and use it literally every day.

Even simple dishes turn out delicious—just sautéing vegetables brings out great flavor and makes meals feel special. I also love how convenient it is that it’s safe for both the oven and the dishwasher.

One small downside is that if food burns and sticks, it can be a bit tough to clean. What helped me is preheating the pan well before cooking—once I started doing that, it became much easier to prevent sticking and burning.

Because I liked it so much, I ended up buying a second one as well. Sometimes when making pasta, the 26cm feels a little small, so I’m considering getting the deeper 26cm version. I’d also like a smaller pan for quick meals, and the Egg & Toast pan is on my wishlist too.

Overall, this skillet has become one of my most-used kitchen tools, and I highly recommend it—especially for everyday cooking.

Compared to traditional cast iron, it is much lighter and easier to handle, which makes everyday cooking more comfortable. When the pan is properly preheated and the right amount of oil is used, food cooks beautifully and tastes great.

I also recommend purchasing the lid, as it makes the pan more versatile and useful.

Over time, oil stains and discoloration do appear on the surface, so regular maintenance is needed. I use the paste method from the website to keep the pan clean.

Although the pan is advertised as oven-safe, I have only used it on a gas stove, yet I noticed the coating on the handle has started to peel slightly. This does not affect cooking performance, but it is a minor downside.

Overall, it is a high-quality pan with excellent cooking results if you are willing to take a little extra care of it.
