I find that out of the box, the sear was great for steak and chicken. However, I followed directions for eggs and it still sticks. I am told I'm not using enough butter/oil but it's not worth the extra calories for this purpose. Will stick with non toxic ceramic non stick for eggs (works perfectly and use this for meats.
