The first thing that struck me about vermicular was its exquisite design. The shapes are crafted with attention to detail. They innovate both in shape, such as the cast-iron handles, and in materials such as their glass lids with cast-iron handles. They bring innovations such as lighter thinner pan that evaporates quickly and a great choices of handles like wood and oven safe metal.
I own many enameled LeCreuset, OurPlace, carbon steel DeBuyer, stainless steel and cast iron pans but I am always on the hunt for the perfect pan. I opted for the oven safe skillet and LOVE using it. It has quickly become my go to pan because it combines the searing quality and heat retention benefits of cast-iron while also being lightweight and esthetically pleasing.
I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it to people who care about esthetics, design and performance.
