My initial impression is that the oven pot is exceptionally well made. The 22cm size is perfect for my use when only cooking for 2-4 people. The lid seals incredibly well... For my first meal cooked in it, I braised some oxtails with only 2-3 oz of wine and water for about 3 hours, and this made a wonderful sauce! The pot trapped the moisture, never drying out, and the oxtails and veggies were cooked to perfection. I debated purchasing this one rather than one of the French brands for years, and I'm very happy with my choice.

I wanted to replace my old Staub cast iron wok (which I used all the time) with this Vermicular 26 cm oven pot. It turns out so right. This is the perfect choice in every way—more comfortably generous, but lighter with tighter seal. It looks simple and beautiful, well fitting my kitchen.
