I haven’t had the occasion to use my new oven pot but I own a frying pan and the Musui- kamado for a long time and have been very satisfied with them.
I really like the idea of the shallow pan both as a gratin pan as well as the small size for cooking and space

I really enjoy using this pot overall. It’s lightweight for a cast-iron pot, heats up quickly, and cooks food efficiently. One of my favorite things is how well it retains moisture—foods come out juicy with great flavor, and I barely need to add extra water.
That said, I’m a bit disappointed with the edges of the pot and lid. The exposed rim tends to rust easily, which is advised in care guides, but I feel like it should be avoidable at this price point. I wish the manufacturer had coated the edges as well, since everything else about the design and performance is excellent.
Despite this flaw, it’s still a pleasure to cook with, but better edge protection would make it close to perfect.
